تل مار إلياس
Byzantine churches on the hill of the Prophet Elijah
A quiet hilltop linked to the Prophet Elijah, beside the ruins of Listib, believed to be his home village of Tishbe. Two churches were built here at the end of the Byzantine period, and their mosaic floors survive in the open air.
A stairway climbs to the summit, where the outline of a large basilica, excavated in 1999, is laid out among oak trees. The view runs across the valleys north of Ajloun.
